Recently, the 2022 "China Railway Society Science and Technology Award" was officially announced, of which 2 host achievements and 2 participation achievements of the School of Electrical Engineering were awarded. Among them, the project of "Key Technology and Equipment for Dynamic Simulation of High-speed Train Operation" hosted by Professor Feng Xiaoyun won the first prize, and the project of "Security Evaluation of Plateau Railway Traction Power Supply System Grounding Backflow Safety Evaluation" hosted by Professor Chen Minwu Key Technology and Application" won the second prize.
The project of "Key Technologies and Equipment for Dynamic Simulation of High-speed Train Operation"has invented a refined modelling method for the coupling system of high-speed train operation environment and offline network diagram, developed high-speed train traction system design software and complete set of operation simulation software with fully independent intellectual property rights, and developed the first set of high-speed train driving simulator in China. Its results have been applied in 4 major traction equipment manufacturing enterprises, 5 major main engine factories of China Railway, 16 railway bureaus of China Railway, and 4 railway design institutes, providing important support for the completely independent research and development and safe and efficient operation of high-speed trains in China.
The project of "Key Technology and Application of Ground Return Safety Evaluation for Traction Power Supply System of Plateau Railway" puts forward an innovative "vehicle-network-earth" integrated ground return safety evaluation and fault diagnosis method, and develops a simulation system and complete sets of equipment for ground return safety evaluation of traction power supply system. The results have been popularised and applied in nearly 30 traction substations, which is of great significance to the construction of plateau electrified railway represented by Sichuan-Tibet Railway.
In addition, two scientific and technological achievements participated by the School of Electrical Engineering also won the first and second prizes respectively. They are the project of "Key Technology and Equipment for New Type of Traction Power Supply System with Highly Self-regulated Operation" and the project of "Serviceability Assessment and Maintenance Technology of OCS Under The Hurricanes".
