From October 31 to November 1, 2020, the 14th China University Annual Academic Conference of Power Electronics and Power Transmission of Chinese Universities (Annual Conference) was held in Chengdu, Sichuan province, which was undertaken by the School of Electrical Engineering, Southwest Jiaotong University.
On October 31, Professor Rong-jun Ding, CRRC Zhuzhou Electric Locomotive Research Institute Co. LTD, Professor Xiao-yun Feng, Vice President of SWJTU, Professor Xiao-ru Wang, President Assistant, Professor Qian-chao Luo, Party Secretary of the School of Electrical Engineering, Professor Wei-rong Chen, Dean of the School of Electrical Engineering, and all members of the Organizing Committee attended the opening ceremony. Professor Jian-ping Xu from the School of Electrical Engineering served as the chairman of the conference.
Over 600 experts and scholars from universities, research institutions and enterprises attended the annual conference. They had in-depth discussions on key technologies, trends, industry development and suggestions in the field of power electronics and power transmission.
Professor De-hong Xu , member of the organizing committee of the annual conference and Professor Xiao-yun Feng, Vice President of SWJTU delivered the speech respectively.
The annual conference invited 6 conference reports from national well-known scholars and industry representatives, as well as 11 technical reports from enterprises. The reporters are Prof. Rong-jun Ding ,academicianof the Chinese Academy of Engineering, Prof. Cheng-yong Zhao, North China Electric Power University, Dr. Hai-hui Luo, Deputy General Manager of Zhuzhou CRRC Times Semiconductor Co., LTD., Prof. Zheng-you He from SWJTU, Mr. Ming-hong Shi, marketing specialist of Zhongmao Electronics Co., LTD., and Mr. Chen-chen Song, engineer of Edx Electronics Co., LTD.
A total of 346 papers were accepted at the annual conference, which covers 7 topics and a total of 24 sub-conference reports. Topics cover: electric vehicle power electronics and power transmission technology, rail transit power electronics and power transmission technology, smart grid power electronics technology, new power electronics devices and applications, renewable energy power electronics technology, converter devices and technology, modeling and control of power electronics and power transmission. During the conference, the 2nd Teaching Education and Scientific Research Practical Experience Exchange was held by Youth Committee of China Power Supply Society. Besides, Female Scientists Forum of“Inspire with Heart, Pursue Dreams” by Female Scientists Committee of China Power Supply Society.
