Prof. Kaushik Rajashekara Visited to School of Electrical Engineering

On July 15, 2019, Prof. Kaushik Rajashekara of University of Houston visited our school and held an academic lecture entitled "Fuel Cells for Transportation and Power Generation", which was presided over by Prof. Chen Wei-rong, dean of School of Electrical Engineering. Prof. Ma Lei, Vice-Dean of School of Electrical Engineering, Prof. Li Qi, Associate Professor Yang Shun-feng, and other 40 students attended the lecture.
After a warm welcome, Professor Kaushik Rajashekara launched a high-level academic lecture which tells the mechanism, advantages and disadvantages of different types of fuel cells; research status and recent progress of proton exchange membrane fuel cell (PEMFC) in rail transit, automobile, ship, aircraft and other transportation modes; introduction to the principle and structure of fuel cell power generation system, control method, characteristics of power electronic converter and other core technologies, the future development trend.
During the questioning phase, the participating teachers and students actively and enthusiastically exchanged and discussed with Professor Kaushik Rajashekara, and the atmosphere was very high. Finally, Professor Chen Weirong presented a souvenir to Professor Kaushik Rajashekara on behalf of the Institute of Electrical Engineering, and the lecture was successfully concluded with warm applause.
After the lecture, professor Kaushik Rajashekara visited the laboratories o and had in-depth communication with faculty and students. Finally, Professor Kaushik Rajashekara spoke highly of the lab construction expressed his desire to establish long-term cooperation with the college. Prof. Kaushik Rajashekara of the university of Houston and fellow of American academy of engineering, us national institute of inventors (NAI), Indian national academy of engineering, institute of electrical and electronic engineers (IEEE) and international society of automotive engineers (SAE).
