On October 30th, 2018, China Ultra-high Speed Maglev Technology Research Project was launched in Shenzhen with some famous experts. They are famous academicians of CAE, Qian Qingquan, Gu Guobiao, Feng Depei, Li Licheng, Ding Rongjun, Cheng Guoliang, academician of CAS, Xu Jin, director of China Railway Bureau, Zhu Jianmei, vice president of SWJTU. More than 100 leaders and experts from domestic universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises gathered together to make China ultra-high speed maglev technology development strategy.
Zhu Jianmei, vice president of SWJTU, pointed out that SWJTU will further deepen industry-university-research cooperation and accelerate the transformation of scientific and technological achievements. Also, she said that the launch of research project will certainly facilitate China ultra-high speed magnetic levitation technology.
Xu Jin promised that the Chinese Academy of Engineering would fully support the research project.
Academician Qian Qingquan said, at present, China high-speed rail has made great achievements. Because the low-speed maglev traffic has realized industrialization and high-speed maglev is actively progressing, maglev transportation has become the future development direction of rail transit in China.
Then, professor Zhang Kun-lun from SWJTU, Prof. Zhang Weihua from SWJTU, Prof. Liu Wan-ming from Tongji University, Zhang Peizhu, deputy chief engineer of China Railway Survey and Design Institute Group No.6 Branch, Huang Sudan, an assistant professor from Shenzhen University, Prof. Gao Shibin from SWJTU delivered keynote speeches respectively, as the "Ultra High-speed Maglev Transportation, Guide and Drive Technology", "High-speed Maglev Traffic Vacuum Pipe Technology", "Superconducting Material In Ultra High-speed Maglev Technology", "Ultra High- speed Maglev Traffic Engineering Feasibility Analysis", "Strategy of Ultra high-speed Maglev Traffic Engineering Research", "Objective of Ultra High-speed Maglev Transportation Technology Development Strategy Research".
