In order to actively explore the new relationship between the curriculum and teaching materials of electrical information in higher education institutions and the new ways of curriculum construction and teaching materials construction under the environment of information and intelligence, and to effectively promote and facilitate the curriculum construction of electrical information, the inaugural meeting of the Expert Committee on Curriculum Construction of Electrical Information in Western Higher Education Institutions was held in the School of Electrical Engineering of SWJTU on July 26. The conference was sponsored by the Expert Committee on Curriculum Construction of Electrical Information in Western Higher Education Institutions and hosted by the College of Electrical Engineering and Science Press. More than 20 experts and scholars from 18 universities in the western region attended it.

Dean Weirong Chen of College of Electrical Engineering firstly welcomed the experts and scholars. He expressed that the establishment of this special committee is to integrate the resources of western colleges and universities to discuss the construction of curriculum and teaching materials of electrical information majors, and hope to strengthen the communication and cooperation among sister colleges and universities.

After briefly introducing the history of Science Press, Ms. Shen Dan, General Manager of Southwest Marketing Center of Science Press, said that in order to build a "golden course" in line with the national requirements and cultivate excellent teaching materials, an expert committee for the construction of electrical information courses in western colleges and universities was established to build high-quality courses and excellent teaching materials together with western colleges and universities in the United Nations. The expert committee members were awarded appointment letters.

Prof. Minwu Chen, Vice Dean of the College of Electrical Engineering, gave a speech on the topic of "The situation of the College and the construction of first-class courses" and Ms. Zhang Wenting, Deputy General Manager of Southwest Marketing Center of Science Press, presented "Innovation of Excellent Teaching Materials and Quality Curriculum Publishing - Excellent Teaching Materials Construction and Digital Curriculum Publishing for the 14th Five-Year Plan".

In the exchange and discussion session, the experts had a lively discussion on the construction program of high-quality courses and excellent teaching materials.

Finally, Dean Chen concluded and expressed his sincere thanks to the experts and scholars. He hoped that with the platform of Science Press and the expert committee, the cooperation between the university and the college would be strengthened by taking the construction of courses and teaching materials as the grasp, so as to not only cooperate comprehensively in the construction of high-quality courses and excellent teaching materials featured by electrical information, but also further cooperate in discipline construction, scientific research and personnel training. We can further cooperate comprehensively in the fields of discipline construction, scientific research and personnel training, and jointly improve the level of western universities.
